In this game the first player throws the stone as far as he believes he can jump. If he manages this distance marker he may throw the stone again and try again. If he does not manage the distance the next player can try his luck from the position reached.
It makes sense to let everyone jump 2-3 times because if one player doesn't manage the target the team will lose. For a station game you will need a tap measure.
How far will teams of equal sizes come? The team with the best distance wins.
