A co-operation game: A-wood race
|Time:||approx. 3-5 minutes per each playing|
|Recommended age:||from 10|
|Size of group:||each team 3 persons|
|Time for preparation:||5-10 minutes|
|Material:||A sturdy wooden frame in the shape of an A and 2 long ropes.|
3 stable pieces of wood are screwed to make an A frame. 2 holding ropes are tied onto it and it is held by 2 players. A third player stands on the cross piece and tries to move the A forwards. The game can be played as a race against the clock, a relay race or simply as a co-operation game. The pieces of wood should be 4x5cm thick but the cross piece should be extra strong so that someone who weighs 80kg cannot break it.
A circle with a diameter of approx. 8m must be crossed. The 2 players holding the ropes must stay on the outside of the A.
Either the time or distance is measured depending on the task.
