Games for Youth Groups 1000 Games for Youth Groups

Bomb commando

Time: 90 min.
Recommended age: from 10
Size of group: from 10 persons or more
Time for preparation: none
Material: alarm clock, flag, treasure

Game description

A castle, a camp or a building must be defended. A bomb commander tries to destroy the castle. The group is therefore split into 2 teams which should be the same size. One group must try to sneak up to the opponent’s castle and try to plant several alarm clocks in a surrounding area of 10-100m (or in a specific secret location). The clocks are set for the end of the game. The castle or camp defenders try to stop this. Players are allowed to be taken prisoner who must sit out of the game for 5-10 minutes. The attackers may use diversion tactics. The game is best played in the dark.

Option

There can be a flag or treasure available which the attackers must steal. There are different versions possible depending on the number of players and the terrain.

Judging

The attackers have won once they have managed to get the alarm clock into the castle area or if they manage to steal the treasure or the flag. If the game is over and the alarm clock has not rung or the flag or treasure has not been found, then the castle inhabitants have won the game.
