This game is ideal for kindergarten kids and first-grader. While racing for the fastest cushion kids not only have fun but also train their coordination playfully. All you need for this game is a chair for each child and two cushions in different colours. Bevor everybody gets to sit down it is decided, who gets the cushion at the beginning. Those two children holding a cushion have to sit face to face. Then the start signal is given. Next, the cushions are handed on from child to child in a clockwise manner. The game continues until one cushion catches up with the other.
Those who want to make the pillow race more exciting, can of course also incorporate some handicaps. For example, that the child, which drops the cushion has to leave the circle and but can re-enter for the next round. However, this modification is recommended rather for older children.
Even though fun is in the foreground, with the variation you will inevitably get a winner.
